To eat in Huelva means eating well. This province mixes the best products of it's mountainous range, with those of the sea, giving as a result a variety that is only at reach of very few places.
Its wines, olive oil, jabugo ham and fresh fish, are the basic ingredients of the onubense gastromy, in which we cannot forget to mention the importance of the strawberry in this region.
Of Huelvas gastronomy we must highlight it's seafood (shrimp, crayfish, scallops) and of course the importance of the jabugo cured ham, the fresh fish caught in the waters of the Gulf of Cádiz. These include tuna, calamari, sardines, and sole fish. Olive oil is another fundamental ingredient.
In Huelva the best and funnest way to eat is to go tapa hopping through the different bars, and beach bars. In it's variety lies their exquisite, traditional, simple and delicious recipes.
